“Startup Initiatives”, a program of supporting youth startup projects

Our team serves as program trackers and mentors since 2016. We also provide IT support to the program (our Accelerator.uz platform is used for tracking startups from all regions of Uzbekistan).

Our role in the program: 

• preparing materials for workshops;
• interviews with applicants, evaluation and selection of projects;
• conducting workshops on such topics, as: Lean Startup, Customer Development, MVP, Business Model Canvas, Startups and Innovations, Design Thinking;
• organization of the startups and mentors’ work on Accelerator.uz platform;
• tracking projects from Tashkent and several region;
• mentoring sessions.

The program has been implemented by the UNDP Uzbekistan since 2016, together with national partners.

The fifth cycle of the support program for youth innovative ideas and startup projects “Startup Initiatives” (in 2021) was organized in cooperation with the Agency for Youth Affairs and the Yoshlar-kelajagimiz Foundation as part of a joint project of UNDP and the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations “Promoting Youth Employment in Uzbekistan”, funded by the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Japan.
