Startup Innovation Group LLC (StartupFactory) has been developing a startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan since 2013.  

We organize startup conferences and events on women’s technological entrepreneurship, Ideation workshops, coordinate 6-month startup acceleration programs, select mentors, prepare startups for pitching and working with investors.

Our focus: women’s and youth technology entrepreneurship, IT startups, science startups, cleantech startups.

Our programs are organized online throughout Uzbekistan, and we conduct offline events in Tashkent, Nukus and Fergana.

StartupFactory experts constantly improve their competencies, study and train in the USA, Israel, and Europe.

We work in partnership with national and international organizations.

We provide tracking and mentoring services for startups in various competitions, hackathons and acceleration programs.

Our company has developed our own IT solutions for the digitalization of work with startups and mentors: a startup tracking platform and a mentoring platform for startups in Central Asia.

Company history: 

• 2013: we have launched the first startup conference in Uzbekistan, Startup Mix, with 47 events (in Tashkent in Nukus). 

• 2015: launch of the first startup accelerator in Uzbekistan for IT projects;
• 2015-2017: business trips to explore the startup ecosystem of Israel and Silicon Valley;

• 2016-2022: working as trackers, mentors and trainers in the youth republican program “Startup Initiatives“, organized by UNDP together with national partners (5 cycles of the program); 

• 2019: co-organization, methodological, mentoring and IT support of the first accelerator in Uzbekistan for water startups SmartWaterLab (accelerator was organized by Green Business Innovation as part of the USAID / CAREC Smart Waters project);

• 2019: co-organization of a specialized regional event on women’s technological entrepreneurship: Central Asia Women in Tech & Science Week. The event was held for 5 days in Tashkent, Samarkand and Nukus, with the participation of 50+ speakers from the UK, USA and Central Asian countries). 

• 2019-2021: co-organization of Uzbekistan’s largest competition for green start-ups, ClimateLaunchpad;

• 2020-2021: Development of own IT platforms: startup tracking platform Accelerator.uz and platform for organizing mentoring programs, Central Asia Mentoring Platform, with the participation of mentors from Silicon Valley, Central Asia and Europe. 

• 2018-2022: co-organization, methodological, mentoring and IT support of the first accelerator in Uzbekistan for science startups, C.A.T. Science Accelerator. With the support of the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan and the Center for Advanced Technologies, 3 acceleration programs were carried out. 7 startups received funding from the Ministry of Innovative Development (more than 5 billion Uzbek soums).
